Plot-debating ...

Which person?Collapse )

On the more decisive side, I did find some interesting things in the challenge section (Greek tragedy! Sort of goes with my plot, and even more with the pride thing; pride = my favorite human flaw), and some even more interesting things on Postsecret, so now the Marauders have subplots to follow and I have more interweaving to plan. Yay!

As for posting, because I don't want this post to ever end and force me to go to bed, I think it'd be way cool if I could finish up a couple more chapters before September, and then post them once a week and sort of dabble along until I got some more writing time. But I'm terrible about sticking to a schedule (I LOVE making them, but once it's set, I sort of slide and readjust it, and it's probably more fun readjusting than planning in the first place, so perhaps I do it subconsciously ...) so it'd be cool to go back to my carefree days and just sort of post whenever I wrote, and then get that rush of writing done when I realized my reviewers were waiting. =P Yep, because I'm sure I'll have a lot of reviewers. But it would leave my plot more open to suggestion. So maybe this isn't on the more decisive side.

Now through November

My reviews are stories in and of themselves. Latest = 512 words. *rollseyes*

I've found that once you start reviewing long, it's hard to stop. You notice more things when you're reading to review ... and you get in a rambling mode that's very difficult to get out of. =)

Story update! Because I didn't feel like making another post.

The Way to Dusty Death is DONE, which is an amazing feeling. It's so cool to be able to select 'complete' on a chaptered story - it's been too long for me.

Wreckage's chapter two is almost done (did I not share my pretty title story with you? Wreckage = wreck + age, which sort of goes with the whole Voldemort-rising thing. But wreckage has more to do with Lily's romantic/family/academic life. So it goes well together). I have like 8000 words already and I'm happy where I'm going. I want this fic to be looooong. I also need more of a plot, since right now it's mostly emotion-and-calendar-driven instead of having a major, arching ... thing. Theme? I don't know. I'm planning for it to go all through the year, which might be a bad idea when I find I'm out of subplots. I'm horrible with subplots. Me? I'm a one-shot sort of person. So it'll be fun trying new things.

New idea! Sirius/OC, who's a Muggle. Interesting? Well, more than most of my other ideas. I'm thinking about maybe doing it for NaNo, since I'm not sure if it'd ever get done otherwise. On the other hand, I've always shied away from mixing the two, as I like dedicating November to OF. It seems sort of a waste to put all of those late nights into fanfiction. You know? It's different than writing ff at other times of the year.

As for the OF NaNo I'm considering, it revolves around this majorly (which isn't a word, but I keep using it anyway) OCD guy who comes from a huge family but estranged himself from them when he went to college, and now he's teaching high school physics. Plot? Well ... I've heard that no plot is no problem . =P Basically, I like the idea because I can put in really weird OCD tendencies, and for the physics part, it's always fun to put stuff that I know into stories. It makes me feel smart (Charlemagne was crowned by Pope Leo the third on Christmas day 800 ... v = λf ... uh ... um ... that's pretty much it for everything I learned over the past two years. That and the Chinese dynasties, even though I never got taught the song).

Hey guys ... new short story up on HPFF. I'll probably be updating about once a week until it's done (I think six chapters, so it should last a good long while). Hope you get a chance to read!

Yay!! I love writing and I really enjoyed working on this. It took a long time to get it to my liking, but it was worth it.

HPFF?? What is that? I don't remember posting there?

Chea, so I've got this new story up on HPFF that I wrote last night. My sister told me to do something productive with my spring break like write a novel, and I practically did considering how little I've written this year (that is, to me, writing this much is like devoting my time to a novel). So yayzz.

More Sinned Against than Sinning (12+)

So all of my stories that AREN'T 12+? The other stuff usually gets added in after I'm done writing just because I don't like the 12+ label. How lame is that? I just don't write violent or sexual scenes and my language is ... just language. Just English. But this time I was lazy and I figured ... why not? Whenever I'm looking for stories to read, I don't want them spoiled by icky extras. I just like the story, the literature, without the sleaze. Yeah, so that's my little mini-almost-rant.

Go read.

Color Me a procrastinator, for that's what I am ...

I haven't been talking much about writing recently, so I decided to post some Color Me planning stuff.

The funny thing is, I only have 299 reads and 9 reviews for 5 chapters, and the numbers don't even bother me. I guess I've just matured as a writer and realize that it's more about the process of the story, how the plot progresses, how I choose to express myself and how I feel about it all than it is about the number of people who I end up sharing my words with. It's really a story about ranting and confusion and doing what's right, even when what's wrong is what feels right. I guess it's a story about making decisions that the characters don't like or want to make. It's a story about saying everything I'm feeling through other characters and other situations, and showing that some people really do have morals and values even though they don't want to. Basically, a cliched plot with morals crammed in to it.

But if that's what my muse is telling me is the best way to express my rants, so be it. If that's why my characters always seem depressed, so be it. They're not, I'm not. But we can sure as heck sound like it.

K, got me a new story up so I'll be doing this uber-fast (so that I can go back to refreshing my 'edit/delete stories' page to see how many views I get; yes, I am overly excited). Uh, let's see, this is the story that I decided to write to get rid of those awful cliches (although I'm sure it's also cliched, and I just don't realize it because I don't read enough fanfiction nowadays). Gary-Stu avoidance and all that. BWHAHAHAHAHA, they're all Gary Stus!! Have fun with that, dear readers.

I'm kind of taking this excitement too far. Alrighty, no more caffeine for me. The story? It's called Color Me. Here be the link (15+)

Read and make me happy, K?

current song: Banana Pancakes - Jack Johnson

I felt guilty for not updating in, like, forever. So I went ahead and put up the first chapter of ToY, which is really quite different from the original first chapter.

Chapter 1: Don't Ever Change (15+)

There's also a banner and a chapter graphic. So it's like a win-win-win situation! If you like my graphic skills, that is ...

I have a grand total of 845 reviews on all of my stories combined. Considering I have 17 stories, that's quite nearly 50 reviews per. I LOVE EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU! Even those who don't review. =)

Abandoned Aspirations [15+]

^^ St. Patrick's Day present, even though it has nothing to do with the holiday. ToY has taken the back seat to school and one-shots recently (er, past couple months), and I apologize for that. Maybe Spring Break will inspire me to finish that next chapter ...
